FORT WORTH -- In the past week, four kids -- all in DFW -- have died from drowning.  And now, a seven-year-old girl is in critical condition at Cook Children's Hospital.

The little girl was pulled from a pool at Villas by the Park Apartments in Fort Worth.

“She was trying to swim, and one girl had stepped on her by accident. And my friend, Dietrick, he had went in the pool and dragged her out,” Kenyon Maloney explained. “All the kids were screaming and running. The adults were surrounding the girl doing CPR.”

Wednesday, people tried to rescue six-year-old Michael Wheeler a pool in the Remington Pointe neighborhood.  He didn’t make it.

In Irving, a family is devastated after three siblings -- Trishawn, August, and Anthony, all under the age of 12 -- lost their lives at a murky pool.

Just this month, Cook Children’s has seen one death,  26 near-drownings within the past month, and three drownings this year.

An important reminder -- A fun day at the pool could turn into a deadly disaster.  Be safe!
