NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Looks like there was some turbulence at JFK International Airport in New York on Tuesday, and we're not talking in the sky.
Texas governor Greg Abbott was heading home to Austin with his family when a man approached him, shook his hand and started yelling at the governor for his stance on gay marriage.
Needless to say, yelling at the governor didn’t go over well. The 32-year-old was then taken off the fly list and had to take the next JetBlue flight to Austin in the morning.
Bigger question is: Was Greg Abbott really flying home on a JetBlue flight?
We asked the governor's office and they said Abbott always flies the friendly skies on commercial flights, only using the state aircraft recently when surveying flood damage.
But why didn't he use a Texas based airline like Southwest or American? After all, he was in New York promoting Texas businesses!!
Well, Abbott's office says it was out of pure convenience.
Guess there's a chance you could catch the governor on your next flight, that is, unless you cause a scene.
