GRAPEVINE -- Thursday starts a long weekend of North Texans seeing not one but two Reunion Towers. The 29th annual GrapeFest started Thursday morning. So, to all you day drinkers out there, try to keep a low profile.

There were plenty of people on hand to take advantage of Thursday's free admission.

"You can try more than 160 different types of Texas wine from 43 Texas wineries throughout the entire weekend," explained Leigh Lyons, Communications Manager for GrapeFest.

Who can resist sampling the best wines the Lone Star State has to offer? And it's not just about the grapes, craft beers will also be on tap.

If GrapeFest isn't enough to lift your spirits this weekend, you can always hop over to Addison for Oktoberfest. The ceremonial keg will be tapped Thursday night.

The City of Addison is expecting over 70,000 people to partake in German food, dancing, games, and of course, tasty mugs of beer. Plus how can you pass up celebrating Oktoberfest when it's still September?

Both events start Thursday and end Sunday. So, get your palates, livers and Uber rides ready, it's going be a long weekend.
