DALLAS -- Former Dallas Police Chief David O. Brown says he's going to focus on love now that his days in uniform are over.

Brown stepped down as chief earlier this month, but Thursday marked his official retirement ceremony. During the celebration, Brown said he believes the way to solve the country's problems is more love and less divisiveness.

Brown hasn't said exactly what he'll do in his retirement, but added he will probably remain in the public eye.
