DALLAS - The Texas weather has been pretty moody lately. Bright sunny skies one day then hail and tornadoes the next. And we all woke up Tuesday mad because we had to pull our coats out of the box, AGAIN.

But imagine how angry you'd be at the weather if it caused a tree to fall through your house. That's what happened to a Dallas man late Monday night as he was relaxing at home.

“I heard a great boom!" Then that's when Donald Rankins said things got worse. “I see the wood and everything coming, hitting me on the head and I fell to the floor.”

That’s right. A tree crashed right through the roof.

“I thought it was an earthquake, honestly,” Rankins said.

Not this time, buddy. He believes the tree fell because of strong winds.

Luckily, Rankins escaped without injury, but he still has a tall task ahead: removing the tree and repairing the house.

He's staying strong through it all, “I just keep good faith knowing that God will make a way.”
