DALLAS - The North Texas boy little boy involved in a case of Munchhausen by his mother will be back home for the holidays -- with his father.

Back in 2014, Kaylene Bowen was raising money for her son, Christopher, who she said had cancer. Turns out, he didn't.

Christopher and his two siblings were taken away from Kaylene in November, but not before she had him under go 13 major surgeries and over 300 hospital visits, even though the boy was not sick.

A custody hearing was held Wednesday; Kaylene was a no-show so a judge gave Christopher's father full custody.

"We`re happy to tell you that Christopher will be home with his dad for Christmas, that was the point of why we wanted to be here today, unification is very important. We`re extremely ecstatic for Ryan our client, and for Christopher. He will be home with his dad outside the foster care system which is NOT where you want to be during the Christmas holidays," attorney Jeff Branch said.

Christopher and his father will be officially reunited Thursday.
