VALLEY RANCH -- The Cowboys quarterback o’ rama keeps spinning and it’s finally landed on Kellen Moore. Moore will be the Cowboys fourth starting QB this season.

After Tony Romo got hurt in week two Brandon Weeden took over. Then he got benched in favor of Matt Cassel and then Cassel was benched midway through last week's loss to the Jets for Moore.

Yeah, it’s been that kind of year for the Cowboys.

Being 6 feet tall on a good day, Moore has been told he’s too short to play quarterback his whole career. He was lightly recruited out of high school but then became a Heisman Trophy finalist at Boise State.

Moore went undrafted into the NFL and has been a third-stringer and practice squad guy for the Lions and Cowboys. Now he’s got another chance to prove the doubters wrong.

"I’m not the biggest guy. I’ve kinda been that way for a while,” Moore said. “Not all of us can be 6’ 5,” but us shorter guys can find a way to get it done.”

While the Cowboys playoff hopes are officially over, four players got early Christmas Presents: kicker Dan Bailey and offensive lineman Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick and Zach Martin were all named to the Pro-Bowl team.

“To know that your peers around the league respect what you are doing that means more than anything,” said Bailey.

“It’s bittersweet,” Frederick said. “It’s an honor to be selected by your peers the coaches and the fans, but a Super Bowl is better than a Pro Bowl. I don’t know from experience, but that's what I imagine in my head.”

After a season like this, even second rate presents will have to do.
