CONSTABLE, NY -- It looks like the second half of the New York prison escapee manhunt is complete.
David Sweat was shot and captured by the New York state police department on Sunday afternoon. Sweat was reportedly caught just a few miles from the Canadian border.
CNN reports the capture happened after a cop spotted a "suspicious man" walking down a road in the town of Constable, New York. Police opened fir, shot Sweat and then captured him.
Richard Matt, Sweat's fellow escapee, was killed Friday, after being shot in the head three times by officials.
Sweat is being treated at a nearby hospital and there's no word on his condition.
Sweat's capture and Matt's death brings and end to a 22-day manhunt for the prisoners. Both escaped from the Clinton Correctional facility on June 6th.
