PRINCETON, TEXAS -- Well, most of us had our dreams of early retirement shattered Wednesday night, but a few lucky people hit the jackpot. Three winning tickets were sold for the $564 million dollar jackpot -- one from Puerto Rico, one from North Carolina and one from Texas.
The Lone Star State ticket was sold at Appletree Food Mart in Princeton. It's the second time a Powerball ticket sold in Texas has ever hit the jackpot.
Not only is it life changing for the winner, the store owner gets $1 million just for selling the ticket.
But hey this is Texas, we're too big to stop at just one winner. A $1 million ticket was also sold at a Chevron station in Fort Worth. The other at a RaceTrac station in Euless. In fact, Euless may become the new hotspot for folks hoping to strike it rich. They had a $1 million Powerball winner on Saturday, too.
One thing's for sure: That lucky winner in Princeton can now go on an Ivy League splurge. Whoever you are, give us a call if you need any help.
