(CNN) — Former Baltimore Ravens running back, Ray Rice, is free to play in the NFL again.

The players union announced Friday, Rice has won his appeal of his indefinite suspension by the National Football League.

Rice was cut by the Ravens in September, so he’s currently a free agent.

The team terminated the former Ravens star’s contract, in the wake of the video showing him knocking out his now-wife Janay Rice on an Atlantic City casino elevator in February.

The NFL then lengthened Rice’s suspension from two games to an indefinite period.
