Your health teacher lied to you — women CAN get pregnant through anal sex.
Yep, we had the same reaction: shock… disbelief… then the giggling fest began.
But it’s no joke for a woman in New Jersey.
Wait, don’t race out and buy a pregnancy test just yet. Dr. Brian Steixner told Men’s Health this “backdoor baby” is the result of a rare condition called “cloacal malformation.” That means her bladder, vagina and rectum were all connected.
Doctors tried to correct the problem but screwed up the surgery, leaving the woman’s uterus connected to her rectum.
You see where we’re going here?
Yep, a decade later, she shows up to Dr. Steixner’s office pregnant!
And we know what you’re thinking…
“Was she going to have to poop the baby out? I thought that would be hilarious,” Dr. Steixner said. “But ultimately, the OBGYNs couldn’t figure out a way to effectively deliver the baby through the rectum safely. So, she had a C-section.”
Wow.
What’s next? We’ll find out men can have babies too?!
