Atmos energy is seeking a rate increase in Dallas

Atmos Energy wants Dallas residents to pay for the safety related pipe replacements they’re making and are asking for a rate hike.

The city asked Atmos to replace old pipes after a gas explosion killed a 12-year-old girl in 2018.

The Dallas City Council is rejecting the request, but the state will probably approve it.
