CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- No one ever said getting into Harvard University was easy. Remember how real the struggle was for Elle Woods?
Well, now a group of minorities has filed a complaint against the Ivy League school, claiming the admission process isn`t fair and is much tougher on Asian-American applicants.
A coalition made up of Chinese, Indian, Korean and Pakistani organizations says Asian-Americans have the lowest acceptance rate at Harvard than any other top-notch university.
In a statement, the university denies the accusations and says its policies are “fully compliant with the law.”
The group filed the complaint with both the U.S. Department of Education and the Justice Department.
Hey, this isn`t the first time this issue has surfaced. Last November, a lawsuit claimed Harvard`s admission policy discriminates against Asian-American students. That suit is still pending in federal court.
Looks like the only thing Harvard is willing to accept is its stance on this issue.
