As pandemic sees increase in divorce rates, pet custody battles also on the rise


DALLAS (KDAF) — A new survey from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers says 65% of lawyers say the pandemic has caused an increase in clients.

Since the pandemic saw a lot of new animal owners, attorneys are also seeing an increase in pet custody battles.

Jennifer Hargrave, board-certified family law attorney, joined our show to talk about this rise in pet custody battles.
