NUECES COUNTY, TX -- It's been more than 20 years since Selena's death, and the Queen of Tejano is still dancing into our hearts.
Her fans brought new meaning to the popular catch phrase "Anything for Selenas" when the demand for the MAC Cosmetic's Selena line skyrocketed.
Is it really "Anything for Selenas" though? Maybe not.
The two most important men in her life are at odds, once again. Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla, has slapped her husband, Chris Perez with a lawsuit.
Perez wrote a book about his life with the singer called To Selena, With Love a few years ago. It was supposed to be turned into a television show next year, but this lawsuit has blocked that motion.
Quintanilla claims Perez signed a contract which said her father is the rights holder of her entertainment properties. The lawsuit also reads Perez violated the contract by publishing the book in the first place, meaning definitely no television series.
Perez has previously said the book was an outlet for his emotions.
Whatever the case may be, we hope this family can find a solution, for Selena's sake and legacy.
