AUSTIN – We can all agree that life is precious. But is this the answer to the abortion dilemma? An amendment has been filed in Texas that would ban abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy even when the fetus is severely unwell. The provision would effectively strip a woman of her ability to decide what’s best for her family in a painful situation and force her to deliver a baby that’s likely to die, or may even be dead, at birth.
