ABILENE -- A Texas Lowe's is turning heads with their newest employee. Her name is Charlotte.

She's about two feet tall, walks on four legs, and helps out disabled veteran Clay Luthy.

Luthy served three tours with the Air Force, but multiple knee surgeries kept him from re-enlisting. He said he couldn't stand sitting at home so he and Charlotte -- who's been by his side for 10 years -- went looking for part-time work.

"We were interviewing people for his position and he was one of the applicants, and so he showed up for the interview, and he had Charlotte with him," human resources manager Jay Fellers said.

"He told me, he said, 'Oh no, absolutely. We've got service dogs that work all throughout Lowes," Luthy said of his and Charlotte's job interview.

A few weeks later, Luthy found out he got the job.

Charlotte now comes to work with him every single day. She even has her own custom Lowe's vest.
