In 1783, The Revolutionary War between the US and Great Britain ended with the Treaty of Paris being signed.

Back in 1833, Benjamin H Day successfully launched the penny newspaper, “The New York Sun,” in the United States.

“The Lone Ranger” was heard on radio for the final time in 1954, after 2,985 episodes over a 21 year span and  in 1967, the TV show “What’s My Line?” also broadcasted it’s final episode. It lasted 17 years on CBS.

In 1942, Frank Sinatra started his solo singing career and in 1963, and his label, Reprise Records, became a part of Warner Brothers Records.
