DALLAS -  Some folks just can't stay away from drama. Case in point, Richard Sheridan. He's the guy who was just arrested for allegedly tagging “666” on a dozen city buildings, including The Cathedral of Hope and the LGBT landmark, The Legacy of Love.

He also shows up in our NewsFix "Pop Off" segments from time-to-time.

sheridan kicked outDid we mention this guy is also running for mayor?! Is it any surprise that the man who's been kicked out of Council Chambers has now been kicked out of the mayoral debate?

Sheridan is a write-in candidate, and he was supposed to participate in the debate Tuesday with Mayor Rawlings and Marcos Ronquillo.

“His activity obviously, if proven out, is obviously unacceptable to me,” said Mayor Mike Rawlings.

Attorney Rob Crain organized the debate and says the decision to give Sheridan the boot came before his arrest.

“The first concerns were raised to us last week,” Crain said. “I think this outcome is best for everybody.”
