Paper towels are in short supply again, here’s why

Just when you were starting to be able to walk into a store and walk out with a package of paper towels, rolls are getting scarce again.

For one, people are still hoarding them and some stores have gotten lax on per-person restrictions.

Another culprit is that manufacturers use a lean production model, meaning they only get the resources and make enough product based on what they think the demand might be.
