Many of the details are still hush-hush, but a classic DC comics actress is making her way to the CBS series. “We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter,”says Berlanti, “and we couldn’t work [it] out [because of] her schedule.” He adds, “That’s the biggest disappointment for me for this entire season.”

“We’re going to do it,” Kreisberg insists. “We’ll just do it next year.”

Kresiberg has stayed true to his word. The CW announced on Tuesday (June 21) that Carter is locked for a multiple episode arc and will make her premiere on the series in Season 2, episode 3.

So, what role will the “Wonder Woman” actress be playing? Audiences should get ready for some serious girl power as Carter will be joining Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) as President of the United States.
