Hey Flash fans! It's Richard from Zeus Comics and we’re talking Flash and Flashpoint.

Season 3 is almost upon us, so we have a lot to cover.

At the end of last season Barry goes back in time to save his mom Nora Allen from death at the hands of Eobard Thawn, the reverse Flash.

But what happens to the present when you change the past?

For Barry Allen, it happened in a massive comic book event Flashpoint. It all started with Barry going back to the past to save his mom.

Sound familiar?

When Barry returns to the present he finds the timeline massively changed. Aquaman and Wonder Woman, Atlantis and Themscara are at war.

Superman is a prisoner of the US military, Bruce Wayne is dead and his father Thomas Wayne is Batman

Since we don’t have those characters in the Flash TV universe, we need to look at the characters that are important to us:

  • Cisco Ramon
  • Kaitlyn Snow
  • The Wests: Wally, Iris and Joe
  • Nora and Henry Allen

So I’m going to make a couple of predictions:

Exciting Heroes

Fan speculation abounded last season that after Jessie and Wally were hit with the particle accelerator, we might see these characters become their speedster in the comics.

Previews of the show give us a glimpse of Wally in his Kid Flash costumes. But what other exciting heroes will be see in this bold new world?

Will Kaitlyn get her Earth one ice powers?

Returning Characters

With Barry traveling back and stopping the Reverse Flash from killing Nora, we’re likely to see Thawne back.

Does this also mean Thawne no longer kills Earth one Harrison Wells? Will we finally meet the real Harrison Wells? Could we see other characters return?

And Finally...Death

In the original Flashpoint comic, Barry saved his mom but he came back to the future to find out it was at the sacrifice of this father, Henry Allen.

It’s possible that one or more of our favorite characters in the new timeline are deceased.

The biggest danger for Barry is that as the new timeline becomes permanent, he'll forget the real timeline.

Can Barry race against time to save the present? We’ll find out in Flashpoint at the beginning of Flash Season 3!

The Flash Season 3 premieres October 4 at 8PM  on CW33.
