  • Atmos Energy shutting off gas for 2,800 homes in Northwest Dallas

    DALLAS — Atmos energy announced Thursday morning they will close gas lines in an area of Northwest Dallas, affecting around 2,800 homes. The planned outage will begin around 12 p.m. Affected residents could be without gas for about three weeks. The affected area is bound by Walnut Hill to the north, Webb Chapel to the west,  near Northwest Highway to the south and Lakemont Drive to the east.     RICHARDSON, TX — A Richardson police officer was killed in the line of duty Wednesday evening. Officer David Sherrard, 37, was fatally shot after he responded to a disturbance call about 7 p.m. Wednesday at Breckinridge Point apartments in the 4200 block of Renner Road.   • Man arrested for allegedly exposing himself to teen lifeguard at NY pool

    WANTAGH, Long Island – A man was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to a teenage boy at a Long Island pool, authorities told PIX11. Wilson Kenney, 33, of Queens, was arrested Sunday at the Forest City Park Pool in Wantagh, Nassau County police said. Kenney was sitting on a park bench when he allegedly began to rub his groin and exposed himself to a 17-year-old lifeguard at the pool, police said. He faces a charge of public lewdness, police said.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a 7-8 foot gator casually swimming in a family’s swimming pool on Monday morning.
