KDAF-TV CW33 began broadcasting in 1980. Over the past 42 years, the station has had several owners and network affiliations. In 2019, Nexstar Media Group, Inc. purchased KDAF and subsequently acquired The CW Network, making KDAF an owned and operated CW affiliate of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. KDAF currently broadcasts five video streams and operates the website www.cw33.com.
KDAF produces two daily lifestyle shows. Emmy-nominated Inside DFW with Jenny Anchondo and Fun on the Run with Yolonda Williams. Additionally, KDAF recently launched two weekly shows A Taste of North Texas and DFW Metropets. KDAF expects to continue producing content in line with the brand “Always Fun.” FUN means Fresh Unique and New. KDAF exclusively broadcasts high school football games and beginning in 2022, KDAF broadcasted its first professional sports programming with the Allen Americans Hockey Team.
KDAF serves the entire community of Dallas/Fort Worth through promotion and participation in multiple communities causes benefiting the population of North Texas. Additionally, KDAF broadcasts the Dallas Holiday Parade, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and the Dallas Pride Parade.
KDAF broadcasts The CW network and a variety of syndicated programming including “Young Sheldon,” “Two & A Half Men,” “Friends,” “Seinfeld,” and many more.
