Serena Williams becomes second African American female tennis player to be on the Wheaties box

Of all the things Serena Williams has accomplished - 23 grand slam singles titles, 14 grand slam doubles titles and four Olympic gold medals to name a few - she's never been on the cover of a Wheaties box.

In an Instagram post, Williams said “Althea Gibson was the FIRST Black Woman tennis player to be on the box. Today, I am honored to be the second.”
