DETROIT, MI– Ford drivers could soon loose their driving force, if they aren’t careful.

There’s a recall out on more than 1.4 million cars due to a manufacturing problem. The company says a bolt could come loose on the steering wheel which could cause it to completely fall off while driving.

Maybe this time you don`t want to be riding ’til the wheels fall off.

The recall not only affects all Ford Fusion models but also Lincoln MKZs from 2014 to 2018. If your car is part of the recall, you’ll be getting a letter from the company to see what you need to do.

If you’ll be out of a car for awhile and need a way to get around, General Motors hopes to create a new alternative to getting a rental.

The company plans to start a pilot program to give folks a chance to rent out their cars when they aren’t using them. It’s like Airbnb for your car!

So if you’re a GM owner, you’d be able to use the Maven Car-Sharing Unit and make your vehicle available to rent out while you’re away, or just sitting at home, for that matter.

The pilot program is supposed to roll out this summer.

Looks like GM has some big plans and it’s ready to get those wheels rolling!
