PITTSBURGH -- Bill Cosby is taking the "Smooth Criminal" route.

He's hired Michael Jackson's lawyer to lead his new legal dream team after his previous lawyers all ditched him.

Thomas Mesereau is one of the best criminal defense lawyers in the country. Along with getting MJ off in his 2004 child molestation trial, Mesereau also repped Mike Tyson, Suge Knight, and helped Robert Blake beat the rap for allegedly murdering his wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley.

Bill Cosby's charged with drugging and sexually assaulting a former Temple University worker. His first trial ended with a hung jury. The retrial is set for November.

By now, you've heard about the dozens of women who've come forward with similar claims. But Cosby calls them all liars.

"More than two sides to every story," the troubled comedian told a radio station. "Sometimes it's four or five."

Well, we'll soon find out if Cosby's version of the truth will set him free... again.
