STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN -- Patti Smith could have really impressed us with a beautiful rendition of a chart topping hit, but she forgot the words!

And it happened at the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony in Sweden Saturday morning.

The legendary Bob Dylan couldn't make it, but a tribute was done in his honor.

Smith struggled through the iconic A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall.

At one point the rock star even covered her face in embarrassment.

Not to worry, Patti! Many have come before you and butchered songs, including one that almost seems impossible to forget, the national anthem! Stars like Roseanne, Christina Aguilera, Carl Lewis, and Keri Hilson have either made up their own versions of the historic song or just completely failed at singing it.

Sounds like you’re in good company, Patti!
