DALLAS -- It was a worst nightmare come true on Saturday for one Dallas family. Surveillance video tells the terrifying story...

A little girl plays in her driveway in Pleasant Grove near Scyene and St. Augustine. Then two men approach. They walk pass her, pull out a gun and begin a horrifying daylight home invasion.

“One of them had [my husband] at gun point to his head while the other one reached for his wallet and his keys,” recounted Magdalena Gomez. “They then later turned and got my granddaughter and had pointed the gun at her head and told him that if he didn’t tell them the truth on who was in the house that they would shoot my granddaughter.”

One of the robbers forced him into the house at gunpoint, but when they saw Magdalena the robber inexplicably fled, ending the terrifying encounter.

“All I said was ‘oh dear God please help’ and I don’t know if it’s by the grace of Him that we got to be here today,” Gomez said.

The whole ordeal has left the Gomez Family shaken but firm in their resolve to defend themselves.

“It broke my heart because of my granddaughter. I didn’t get to sleep last night. I stayed up all night watching the video,” Magdalena said through tears. “I was terrified. I am now scared to live here and I just want the new neighbors that are coming into this new residence to be aware of what’s going on in this area. We need to look out for each other and protect each other. If it takes for me to have a gun out here every time I’m out in my yard I’m going to do it because I’m going to defend what’s mine and defend my kiddos.”

Dallas police believe the suspects got a away in this white Chevy Malibu.
