Gossip Girl actress Lisa Lynn Masters has died of an apparent suicide in Peru.

The 52-year-old actress was best known for her roles in Gossip Girl, Ugly Betty, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and most recently Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Masters was found dead Tuesday inside a closet of a room at the Nuevo Mundo hotel in Lima, Peru, according to Peru21; having apparently hung herself with a skirt. Anti-depressants were found in the room and officials say she struggled with depression.

Family and friends have set up a GoFundMe page to help Masters’ husband, William Brooks, cover funeral and transport expenses between Peru and the U.S.

“Our dear friend Lisa Masters passed away tragically and unexpectedly in Lima, Peru on November 15, 2016,” wrote Ani Mason, who set up the account on Brooks’ behalf. “Lisa’s genuine warmth, generosity and tenacious strength will be deeply missed.”
