FRISCO -- Tony Romo surprised us all when he showed up on the practice field Wednesday for a little fun during warm ups.

Now, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback is giving #9 lovers another reason to smile.

For the first time since pre-season, Romo was spotted in his jersey and helmet while on the field. All season, the Cowboys have listed him as 'Did not practice' on their injury report, but on Thursday, Romo was listed as 'Limited' and took part in several drills.

The Cowboys are keeping mum about Romo's return, but they say they're not pushing it until he's fully healthy.

For now, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport says Dak Prescott is expected to start the next two games for Dallas.
