ST. LUCIA -- Unfortunately, you and your friends aren't always going to be on the same page when the time comes to turn the page and ink a new stamp on your passport. But Drew says, you shouldn't let that stop you from visiting your favorite corner of the world.
Here are some ways to get the most out of traveling solo.
“It's a little intimidating at first, but once you get in the hang of it, you really can do anything on your own schedule," says Drew.
"I would say, the number one thing when traveling alone is to meet people. It's really easy to get locked in your hotel room, and then it gets really boring, and it gets really frustrating. But if you're meeting people, anywhere, you can meet people at your hotel, you can meet people at the bar, you can go online, you can use apps, whatever."
But all you sleepyheads out there might not like Drew’s second tip.
"Number two would be wake up early. Some people are morning people, some people aren't. I'm a morning person. I like to wake up early and see the city before anyone else. Before business starts going, you can see the city and then you just wait and you can see everything develop throughout the day."
Once you get up, make sure you get out!
In closing, Drew says don't be afraid if you have to travel by yourself, you might just end up having the time of your life.
"Traveling alone is great, it's a great option. I recommend you guys to try it out, see if it's your thing or not, but if you can get out there and meet people and step out of your comfort zone you'll have some good stories to tell."
