BENBROOK -- Skeletal remains found in southwest Fort Worth have sparked a homicide investigation in the city.

The remains have been identified as 21-year-old Chaney Hawthorne. He was reported missing out of Benbrook August 26.

Five days after Hawthorne went missing, his truck was found near Texarkana, with 27-year-old Nicholas Hester.

Hester told police Hawthorne had let him use the truck. He also had Hawthorne's drivers license on him.

Hester is now in jail for unauthorized use of a vehicle, but police have not said if he's connected to Hawthorne's death.
