UTTAR PRADESH, India — A teenage girl in India had a good chunk of her scalped ripped from her head as she was trying to take a selfie in front of a ferris wheel, according to The Indian Express.

The girl was reportedly standing too close to the ride and when her hair became tangled, the ride kept going. It happened in the city of Baraut, in the Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. The 16-year-old is now being treated at a medical facility.
