HOUSTON -- Imagine calling 911 and the operator blowing you off just because she's not in the mood to do her job. Well, that's exactly what Houston cops say one operator did over and over again.
In one case, she's even heard saying, "Ain't nobody got time for this!"
Supervisors began investigating Crenshanda Williams after noticing an abnormally high amount of “short calls," KIAH reports. We're talking less than 20 seconds.
Turns out, Williams had disconnected thousands of calls.
According to court documents, she's heard sighing before hanging up on a robbery/shooting call. By the time police arrived, a person was dead.
In another case, she ended the call as a security officer tried to report a dangerous street racing incident. Even though the call was disconnected, the recording captured Williams saying -- “Ain’t nobody got time for this. For Real.”
Police interviewed Williams who allegedly said she did it because she “did not want to talk to anyone at that time.”
Well, she can keep quiet all she wants in jail, where she's charged with interfering with an emergency call.
