DALLAS — While most Cowboys fans show their support by their team swag and their cheers, Luther Mays shows his with an airbrush!

“I started drawing when I was 3 years old, God given talent,” said Mays. “But I started air brushing in 1979.”

His skills gave him the opportunity to give Cowboy Tony’s car wash off of North Hampton a silver and blue makeover.

“The owner back in 2011 he hired me to design his car wash,” Mays said, “I’m just really thankful that I was able to produce this type of a work for my friend.”

One interesting feature of the murals is that there are not 5, but 6 Super Bowl rings painted on… with that sixth ready to be updated with the right year at any time!

“We was anticipating that we was going to win, you know, but it didn’t happen of course, but maybe this year! I have a good feeling about it,” Mays said about the hopeful sixth ring.

As for what drives the “Amaysing Artist” to keep up his work. well he probably puts it best in his own words:

“The wise man has a great notion, and the spectator follows the game, the preacher prays with devotion and the artist pursues his fame!”
