COLLIN COUNTY -- Enrique Arochi has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2014 aggravated kidnapping of Christina Morris.

A jury deliberated 17 hours  before convicting Arochi last week; the 26-year-old chose to be sentenced by District Judge Mark Rausch instead of a jury. Rausch's sentence is the maximum penalty for the first-degree felony.

While he's not eligible for parole, the judge told Arochi he can appeal.

Christina Morris disappeared two years ago from the Shops at Legacy in Plano. Security video showed her walking into a parking garage with Arochi in the early hours of August 30, 2014. She has not been seen since; her DNA was found in Arochi's trunk.
