TROY, OH - As we encounter another wave of stories about police violence, it`s good to be reminded that not all incidents involving the police and civilians are bad. Meet Mark Ross, he was the passenger in a car that was pulled over for speeding in Ohio by the officer pictured here, Sergeant David Robison.

Ross explained to Robison that they were speeding in an attempt to get to Detroit to console his mother since his sister had just died in a car crash. Unfortunately Ross' driver had a suspended license, and as a result was taken to jail while the car was towed.

Ross was worried he`d be jailed too because of an outstanding warrant but instead he received the surprise of his life! Robison decided to drive Ross the rest of the way to Detroit which was still 100 miles away so he could be with his mother.

In his Facebook post, Ross admits that he normally dislikes cops but was grateful for Sergeant Robison and that Robison’s actions gave him hope.

As for the rest of us, we can only hope stories like this become the norm going forward.
