COLLIN COUNTY -- After weeks of evidence and testimony Enrique Arochi was found guilty of the kidnapping of 23-year-old Christina Morris. And now the sentencing of of Arochi will soon come to an end.

The big news of the day was when Arochi waived the jury punishment. That means Judge Mark Rusch will make the call in the sentencing. With this move, the possibility of parole is off the table for Arochi and he could spend the rest of his life in prison.

Meanwhile, the jury who convicted Arochi was thanked for their service and sent home.

Juror William Newbill said, “It was a great trial. Both the defense and the prosecution have done a very competent job. Great Judge presiding.”

The family of Christina Morris is remaining silent until Arochi’s fate will be decided. The defense also declined to comment.

“We are going to have to wait until Friday,” Arochi’s Attorney said.

That’s right, the gavel will fall on Friday, and hopefully the Morris family will be one step closer to finding out what happened to Christina.
