Dallas Police Search for 2 Suspects Who Killed Store Clerk Overnight

DALLAS -- A convenience store clerk was killed by masked gunmen overnight in Dallas.

Police responded to a call at 4:38 a.m. Friday morning at the Sunshine Food Mart in the 3900 block of Cockrell Hill Road  in west Oak Cliff and found an adult male lying dead inside the store. The victim had been shot in the chest with a high-powered rifle. Two other employees hiding in the back of the store were not injured.

Police say two black males wearing masks were attempting to rob the store when one of the men shot the clerk before leaving on foot.

The store manager said the victim was from Jordan had just begun working at the store a month before and had a wife and children.
