CHICAGO -- A cyclist riding in the Logan Square area of Chicago had an unfortunate experience of being 'doored' by a driver getting out of his car last week -- and it was all caught on camera.

Security video in the area captured the cyclist riding on Milwaukee Avenue when a woman opened her car door, just in time to smack the cyclist, throwing him from his bike and onto the road.

Police did not cite the driver or get her information, according to WGN; the cyclist's attorney says he was told by the officer he could receive a ticket for failing to use the bike lane -- understandable, except the cyclist says there was no bike lane.

WGN reports the police officer never filed a report, but the driver involved in the incident has come forward and is cooperating.
