DALLAS -- It may be football season. But, that doesn't mean it's too early to get ready for basketball. Not just for players but for the ladies too! Back by popular demand, the Mavericks coaches and players opened the home court to their female fans.

"I'm just excited to kind of learn behind the scenes," said first-year attendee, Rebecca Rowley. "I never played basketball so as much as I have a good knowledge of the sport itself."

"I've always been a really big Mavs fan so I kind of wanted to know behind the scenes and learn more about them," said another fan.

The special 101 session featured everything basketball! The girls got an exclusive tour of the locker rooms, and even coach commentary on the upcoming season.

Although the NBA is mostly male driven,  The Mavericks used the special night to show the women they play a huge part in the team's success!

So ladies, the next time you cheer on the home team remember the ball is also in your court!
