It’s almost Labor Day and you know what that means — summer is pretty much a wrap.

While the summer may be winding down, it doesn’t mean it’s time to hibernate and give up on your hot body. You too can have a beach bod all year-round with the right tips, recommendations, advice and motivation.

Whether you’re just beginning your journey or if you could be featured on a fitness magazine at this very moment, take a glance at our top 8 ways to get and keep that beach body rocking 365 days a year.

Be Consistent

If you want to keep those abs rock hard, those arms toned and that butt tight, personal trainer Brandon Garrett votes C and C Body Factory.

“That is consistency and commitment,” Garrett said. All in all, you have to be dedicated. “You have to be consistent with everything. You have to be consistent with your diet. You have to be consistent with your regimen. You have to be committed all year long.”

Garrett suggests a workout routine and diet that you’re likely to stick with. Don’t fall for fads because they just don’t work.

Twerk It Out via

If mind-numbing aerobics and the dreaded treadmill aren’t your thing, you can dance your way to a sexy bod.

Across the Metroplex, there are a number of exercise-infused dance classes such as the TWRKIT Circuit at Force Fitness in Fort Worth. The class allows women the ability to twerk and shake their booty while losing weight and shredding fat.

If twerking isn’t your cup of tea, there’s always a more toned down barre class. You can gain the dancer’s physique with precise, low impact moves to tone and tighten.

Live out all of your deep-seated ballerina dreams! Pure Barre is located on in several locations around Dallas and Addison.

Think you’re ready for the challenge? Don’t be afraid to test your limits and try out new and possibly scary-looking things. Pick up those heavy weights and lift, lift, lift. Or summon your inner gymnast, warrior or anything in between.

CrossFit is probably one of the best ways to get that rockin’ body and to maintain it January through December. No matter your fitness level, there’s something for you and lots of motivation along the way to get you moving and keep you moving until you reach your goal.

Take it Outside via

We all know that it gets hot as Hades in DFW, but many residents prove just how Texas tough they are by braving the heat. You’re going to sweat more, which might make it easier to shed a few extra pounds. Plus, one of the hottest (get it?) new trends is that there’s plenty of local groups who are getting together to share in the heat with fun outdoor activities.

Walking, hiking and even water sports can help switch up your regimen. Make some great friends and maybe indulge in a cold, sudsy beverage after an exhausting workout. Try to explore your options.

Climb Your Way to the Best Body Ever via

While Mt. Everest may not be in our backyard, many DFW-ers are adding climbing to their exercise repertoire. Climbing can start on the inside, at places such as Summit Gym.

The gyms allow you to rock climb in a controlled environment and is meant for all skill levels. Learn all the basics before you do the real thing, but in the meanwhile, watch your body get into wicked shape no matter the time of year.

Grab A Buddy via

Whether you encourage each other or shame each other, having a buddy may just hold you accountable to achieve your body goals. Who doesn’t need that one friend who’ll knock the cookie out of your hand and remind you that you don’t want to be the porker that you used to be? After all, what are friends for?

Track Your Goals via

Yes, it’s an oldie but a goodie — track your progress. If you can visually see where you currently are and where you want to be, you are more than likely to stick with it. Yeah, it’s like psychology or something.

Track your food in a food journal and keep track of your workouts to see what’s working and what’s not to see how close or far off you are from your beach bod. After all, there’s always room for improvement. And if that doesn’t work, let The Arnold be your motivation.

With more than 22 years under his belt as a personal trainer, Mcghee Israel knows a thing or two about maintaining the perfect physique year round.

What’s the standard advice? “Eat clean, drink plenty of water and exercise regularly.” Israel has an existential piece of advice overriding everything, “And above all, fall in love with you no matter where your beginning is because it’s the only way your ending will be achieved in a positive.”

iLipo Laser Lipolysis at Total Med Solutions

If you’ve committed yourself to the gym and to eating properly, but you’re still having issues with specific areas on your body, you may want to consider iLipo Laser Lipolysis.

The out-patient procedure is available through Total Med Solutions in Dallas and Plano.

iLipo Laser Lipolysis is one of the most advanced cellulite reduction technology on the market. It works by emitting low levels of laser energy, which send signals to the fat cells stored in the body. This signal, in turn, breaks down the fat cells. Triglycerides found in those fat cells are then converted into fatty acids and glycerol — energy. So not only are you shaping your body, but you’re gaining energy while doing so.
