DENTON -- The new school year at the University of North Texas has begun, and the school staff is hoping an app will help students who may be having a difficult time adjusting.
UNT students are the only ones in Texas who have access to the "Just In Case" app. It also serves students on campuses all over California, as well as Ohio and Maryland.
The app can help students who are suffering from some type of mental health issues. According to the app, those can include having sleeping or eating disorders that can lead to bigger problems, crying a lot, feeling worthless, or being stressed.
People can also use the app to help a friend who may be having a difficult time adjusting to new campus life.
The app provides phone numbers of places on campus that can help people dealing with their problems and need to talk to someone.
Always remember, you can get help if you need it.
