MENLO PARK, CA -- Facebook has launched a new app aimed at bringing teens together.

"Lifestage" allows teens to upload photos and videos to show their "mood." From there, other users can "like" or "dislike" the videos or photos.

The concept is similar Facebook and Snapchat.

Profiles must be public, and information posted include people's phones numbers. Once a user turns 21, they can only view profiles and not use the app.

The app does not seem to be doing very well. It has only averaged about two and a half stars in the Apple App Store. Many people have posted that it's confusing, creepy, and feel their privacy has been invaded.

Others like it and say it's "cool."
