Stephen Amell is sending our speculation senses into overdrive with his latest Arrow teaser tweet, which also happens to be a teaser for Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash and Supergirl.

On Sunday (Aug. 7), Amell posted a photo of a few famous superhero boots to Instagram and Twitter, with absolutely zero explanation. Beyond the vague caption of “coming soon,” we’re at a loss as to why these super-friends have all congregated.

In the photo, you can see the picture has been taken from Amell’s point of view, as he’s presumably dressed in full Green Arrow costume. Next to him are some familiar red boots belonging to Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl, and next to her are White Canary’s (Caity Lotz) white boots. More boots belonging to Grant Gustin’s The Flash and Brandon Routh’s Atom can also be seen.

Being that it’s only the beginning of August, we can pretty safely rule out that the promised four-part crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl is already being filmed. It does, however, beg the question… What are these guys all doing together in costume?

A photo shoot to promote the new CW Superhero lineup sounds about right, but we’re also hoping for another “Three Minute Fight Club” short like we got last spring.

Whatever it is that brings these superheroes together, we’re sure we’ll find out soon. It’s not long before The CW begins promoting their fall schedule.

Arrow returns Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. on CW33.
