ORANGE, NJ -- Bullying has made headlines all over the world. Each year more than three million kids are bullied about their weight, where they're from, sports and probably the most common of all, what they wear.
Are they wearing the freshest tees? Do they have the latest Jordans? Sometimes it can be a lot for a kid to face, but for one kid, he's standing up for much more than the newest styles or brand names. He’s standing up for change.
Meet Nyeeam Hudson, also known as, King Nahh. He is only 9 years old but has knowledge beyond his years.
Being a motivational speaker, when he was bullied about the brand of his shoes one day at the park, you can believe he had something to say about it. In his video, posted on Instagram, he said the following:
"I told the kid, it’s not what I have on my feet, it’s about what I have in my head, no matter what I’m wearing, what I have on, it’s about my information, the knowledgeable things in life"
King Nahh also had a message for the parents watching.
"Please don't raise your children to be the materialistic type, because you know once they don't have Jordan’s or cool clothes on their going to feel like they’re not important."
King Nahh may not be able to end bullying for good but standing up to it, is a great start.
