DALLAS -- A teenage girl was shot in the head early Monday as people were leaving a dance hall in northeast Dallas. Police say officers answered a shooting call around 2 a.m. at the Azure Banquet Hall in the 9200 block of Skillman St.

Witnesses say people in parked cars outside the dance hall started shooting at each other; the girl, believed to be 19, was likely hit in crossfire.

Dallas Fire Rescue took the victim to Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. Suspects left the scene before officers arrived and a police investigation is underway.
