NORTH TEXAS -- The familiar saying "Go big or go home" is what teen star Lizzy Greene lives by and for the 13-year-old, home is right here in North Texas.
While being home-schooled, Lizzy currently travels back and forth with her family to Los Angeles for work. But, work for Lizzy means spending hours at a time filming at Nickelodeon Studios for her show Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, an upbeat tween series about the only girl in a set of quadruplets -- something she says came naturally for her.
"All my life, I've always been able to connect with boys because sometimes girls cause a little bit more drama," Lizzy told NewsFix. "In school, I was pretty much a big tomboy so I was able to slip right in."
Just like a lot of Nickelodeon shows, NRDD has its fair share of stunts and giggles. Since the show got picked up for a third season featuring 14 episodes, Lizzy promises a few surprises for viewers.
"I have to say, this is my favorite season because we're all grown up so we can do more stunts." "For Nickelodeon, you can't go more than 6 feet off the ground if you're under 12 -- so now we can go higher!"
Speaking of reaching new heights, you could easily label Lizzy a triple threat. She started acting when she was little, taking on theater at her school. But, it doesn't stop there. Lizzy says she loves singing and gymnastics. Although RNDD is her first gig after going through a series of auditions, Lizzy has future plans of making movies.
"I'd love to do movies and feature films because that's another big part of the business that I've never really gotten to get into," Lizzy explained. "I've gained a whole new respect for the business -- it's a lot of work!"
But don't get it twisted. At only 13-years-old, Lizzy is already more grounded than a lot of Hollywood stars out there. With a large social media following of over one million fans, Lizzy says keeping her supporters entertained on YouTube or Periscope is an important part of her career.
Lizzy's willing to put in the work to become the next North Texas-native superstar -- like Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato -- the difference is she's doing it her way.
