DALLAS -- Dallas Fire-Rescue have moved from rescue to recovery in the search for an off-duty SMU police officer swept away by high waters early Tuesday morning. The man, who's name has not been release, was working off-duty on a private security detail and is presumed dead.
Officials says they received a call around 1:30 AM from the officer as he reported being trapped by rising waters.
Dallas Fire Swift Water Rescue are currently searching the area for the man and his vehicle using sonar.
SMU Police are offering support to Dallas Fire-Rescue and were on scene during the search.
